Hello,
Once again, thank you very much for your support, your reactivity and availability!

I am really sorry, but in fact it was a problem with ACL Manager vs permissions of FLEXIcontent...
So, just to comfort you, from what I can see, if I set permission only from the configuration of flexicontent, I have no problem and it works.

But, every time I use the ACL Manager to set some permissions, it erases some permissions of flexicontent as:
"Categories (Item edit Form): Assign multiple categories to items"

Thus, I have to go then in the permission of flexicontent set this permission to allowed and then it is ok.

Another problem, more disturbing, with ACL manager, is that, the first time I assign a user to a group, the permission are set correctly (except it erases the multiple category as said before) but then, I can change assign user to another group, or set other permission from acl manager, it will change nothing! (And believe me, I saved ^^ ). Once again I have to go to the System->configuration->Flexicontent->permissions and save. From here, the permissions set by acl manager will be applied. As if flexicontent don't take into account the changes made from another extension (which might be a bug from you, I don't know).

Anyway as I said, it works if only using the system->configuration->Flexicontent to set the permissions.

Hello

it would be a lot easier if ACL manager implemented compatibility with FC, since doint the opposite would be 10x work on our part,

i said the above to point out the amount of work needed

the reason is this:

while FLEXIcontent is installed:
-- categories are set to inherit ACL from FLEXIcontent component instead of com_content (Joomla article manager component)

-- Flexicontent is Free but involves a big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite having a long list of functions) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Yes, ok that explain why there is problem with category, but it doesn't explain why a change from acl manager (for a permission of a joomla component) is not applied until we press save from the menu system->configuration->flexicontent.

There is bug though, with the display of the icon state of the article (in the frontend+backend)
joomla 3.2.1 + flexi 2.2.0 r1955
Have you a release date for the next version?

Hello

FLEXIcontent does some caching of ACL per user,

e.g. these are cleared when FLEXIcontent configuration is saved
