Front page blog layout

Hello People!
I've just installed the new stable version, Kudo's to the author its an awesome piece of software.
Anyhow I am trying to work out how to get a blog layout on my frontpage, I have the menu item in my main menu set to category view for a category called "front page" While this seems to work ok, it gives me a layout I am not happy with. What I am trying to do, is have a layout where it displays the story up to the point of the readmore link.
Right now it just displays a list of articles available in this category.
Can anyone help with this?

You have to make the choice in the category itself:
on the right side, Parameter: Standard -> Categorielayout, there you have a pulldown with all the templates you generated under -> Templates.

I found the box you are refering to, unfortunatly it only provides me the options of default and blog.
I have not created any templates, mainly because my php and css skills suck. So I need to rely on the two that came with Flexicontent, is there anyway to do what I am looking for with these two?

If you choose blog, there are some more parameters, like: how much entries are listet with long intros and how many with short intros. you also can decide how many letters a long / short intro shows and there are a lot more options what should happen with images.

Have a look at all the parameters, the tooltips will help to understand.
