Good evening to this community

I've installed flexicontent before some hours. For first I had some hours to learn how to use, but now I can say: epic work from you! Congratulations a lot!

Now I have a littel trouble to understand something:

- created a new category
- putted some items to the category
- displayed the category on the startpage

My questions:

Where can I swith off the displaying of all categories
Where can I switch off to display, where a item is in which category (see above).

Hello

you may want to use v2.2.0 r1932 (RC1), it is stable


1. for hiding "sub" and/or "peer" (=same level) category links in category view,

go to component parameters (click the configuation button) and find the "Content Display" TAB and scroll down to find category view and disable the display of "sub" and/or "peer" category links


2. by default you have 1 content type the "Article" content type which uses the "default" template for displaying fields in item view

so even if you are using category view with blog template, the item links of type "article" will display (when clicked) using the item layout of "default" template

go to template manager and edit the item layout of "default" template and then drag and drop to remove the "categories" field

Ohhhhhhh! It takes a little time, the hiding of the top categories are now disabled, thanks for the Tipp!

Now, only the displaying of the categories in the articles are the last Problem. They alwas are displyed.

edit your type and in template admin dasctived category display
or
go to template administration (flexicontent) edit you template in category view and drag out category field
