Article editing question

Hello

I will have some Authors on my website. These authors will be allowed to edit their own articles. That's how Joomla works.

If an author create hos article, the article will not be published until an admin validate it.
But if an author is editing is own article, it will be published with the updated content without validation.

I am looking for this kind of validation, maybe by using the versionning system implemented with Joomla 3.3.

The article before editing remains visible and the updated version of the article has to remain unpublished.

Can Flexicontent do that ?

Thanks

Hello

yes you will give to the usergroup of your users:

edit and edit.state.own

but you will not give them edit.state

-- thus
1. when a user edit an article the new document version will not become frontend "active" until an administrator or other user that has (edit and edit.state priveleges) approves it

2. flexicontent will send approval notifications to the administrators by default but you can configure other user-groups in flexicontent workflow/notifications TAB in component settings, and you can also customized this per content type

Regards

Thanks for your answer

When you say :
1. when a user edit an article the new document version will not become frontend "active" until an administrator or other user that has (edit and edit.state priveleges) approves it
>>>>>>>>>>> Do we agree that it's a feature added by flexicontent and not build in the default Joomla core ?

I see that your latest version is 14/11/2013. Joomla 3.3 is out. Nothing was updated since 7 months ?

Are my articles editable by using the default Article Manager ?

Thanks

Hello

the JED listing mentions
- FLEXIcontent v2.1.2
- our latest download is v2.1.3 (v2.1.2 has a bogus uninstall in v)
- our latest BETA is v2.2.0 (which is more appropriate for J3.3 that previous versions):

www.flexicontent.org/forum/index ... =viewtopic

- about article manager , no FLEXIcontent uses its own "items manager"

- we will update JED listing with the official release of v2.2.0

Regards
