Hi, I'm using FlexiContent and am having trouble getting the create date, revised date, and author box to go away from the top of the webpage. I keep getting the following error when I try to unpublish them:

"You cannot unpublish these fields because they are used for the versioning feature. If you do not want to see them, do not assign them to any groups in the field view :-) "

How do I get to the field view to unassign groups? I'm having the darndest time finding it. Thanks

Hello

-- the display of fields is controlled by FLEXIcontent templates
(these control/style the COMPONENT area[/b] and not the full Joomla web-site)

-- FLEXIcontent templates, control in 2 ways the display fields

-a- via template position:
... go to template manager and edit ITEM or CATEGORY layout of the desired template (you can see the template used by items in Type manager) and the template used by category in the category manager

-b- via a layout parameter of the template,
... for items edit the content type and set the parameters of the current selected template
... for category, edit the category and edit the template parameters

Much thanks!

You wouldn't know how to remove the "Notice" section at the top of pages from the Public view would you?

Hello

your joomla template has a line like:
Code:
<jdoc:include type="message" /> or <jdoc:include type="message" style="xhtml" />

and components add messages/notices/warning/errors to it (see joomla docs):
docs.joomla.org/Display_error_messages_and_notices

- you can edit your joomla template and remove it,

... but is there a specific flexicontent message that is appears there ?, which you want to suppress, in v2.1.3 we displayed some info there via debug parameters (in v2.2.0 it is moved to the bottom), what is the message that you get?

Again, Thanks So Much!

You've been a great help, I was wondering if I can come to the well for one more drink ;)

I have the "Latest Articles" in Position 7,
I was wondering if there was a way to get a bit of intro text for them so that it shows the title and a little bit of the article and then a read more? Again, thank you so much.

Hello

you can use FLEXIcontent Universal module, really powerful module, for "latest articles" behaviour use ordering by most recently added

spend some time testing it

Regards
