I tried both mini gallery and image field. When you click on "select image" it looks on the webserver directory for the image.

How do you allow the user to upload their own image locally?

thanks

yes ... its the good way ;)

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Hello

1. does your user belong to a user group that has permission to upload (go to FLEXIcontent component configuration and then inside permissions TAB, make sure that the user group of your user has permission to upload)

2. or you mean that you want to upload files into a folder and not add the into the DATABASE?

did you try image/(gallery) field in "folder mode"? (instead of "DB-mode"), to see if it is what you need ?
(parameter is at (near) top right of field configuration)

i think we should make this parameter to be "folder by default" and for old sites that were upgraded and not had this parameter, to set it to "DB-mode" so that field does not break without warning when some-one saves the field after upgrading from an old FLEXIcontent version
