Hi

After installation I missed all the fields in the seciont images and links

particularly I need the availability of the intro image for the article as I've already instaled modules which are using this field.

I've read you proposal to alter item.xml file. but the created fields just to not update the original joomla fields. they act on other data. so the article which previously had intro image have the field empty
if I add intro image to an article the data will be written somewhere else and the other modules do not have the information to operate.

any suggestions ?
your component is GREAT, but I cannot afford loosing features.

Hello

this is implemented but not yet tested so it is not enabled in latest FLEXIContent version
- it is in the TODO

we understand that this is a problem for existing sites, that already have content in these parameters !!

-- if you have a new site then using FLEXIContent image-gallery field and weblinks field, etc will give you much more power and options

Hi

thanks for you reply

Maybe you are right. gallery etc will give me more power. But Please don't make the mistake of thinking you are the one with good ideas.
Maybe FlexiGalery is the most powerfull, Yet maybe i need THE option implemented in another component, and not in yours.

Compatibility is a MUST, not an Option !

Hello

amount of work put on this component is real too much,

years of dedicated almost all free time,
that we had or did had to develop it.

it is a full-time 2nd job (or for me a 3rd one), worked on it almost all year around.

about your comment i agree,
compatibility is a priority,

just there are 2 levels:
1. functioning properly and
2. supporting features of Joomla articles
(2nd will happen more slowly than 1st)

Hello

-1- modified the image/gallery field to support a 3rd mode:
- DB-mode
- folder-mode
- intro/full mode (new)

- using the image this will give people using these support in all FLEXIcontent views !

(work is mostly done, but not finished, e.g. TODO value editing , because editing will appear inside the image field and not as separate parameter TAB)

-2- also the weblink field will handle the links

the benefit of using fields,
- will be not only compatibility,
- but also easier editing (edit together with other fields and not a separate parameter TAB),
- being able to use some extra capabilities that these fields have

Regards

I dont see this feature in beta 2.2. How can I use the original article image in the FC template ?

Thanks
