Good day,

I use flexicontent for developing a website, but encountered a huge problem. The thing is, there are few menu items in main menu module: News, Events, and Articles(with three sub menu items). There are also same categories. What i tried to do, is to make main menu item called "Home", and what important is when i add a new item in any of these categories above, this item should first appear on a homepage("Home" menu). I've tried many options but nothing appropriate. I've also tried as it's described in tutorial "Replacing Frontpage with a special Flexicontent Category", but all i got is those articles, that assigned to "Frontpage Items" category(except for their own categories) are shown on the homepage. And these are the only articles shown, because when i click on other menu items, nothing changes, and i see only these same articles in all menu items. Please help to resolve this problem.

"should first appear on a homepage"

if the above is the first what is the second ?

i do not understand what you want to do, so i can not answer you, maybe do this:

take the homepage FAQ article text, quote it and explain what is that you want to do differently, try to give little but good information of what you are trying to do

Oh, i beg your pardon if i made myself unclear. I'll try to explain it one more time.
There is a main menu with following menu items, looks this way:
|Home|News|Events|Articles|
There are of course Categories "News, Events, Articles(articles have three sub categories)", linked to these menu items.
What i need, is when new Article(Item) is published it would be shown on a Homepage(for Homepage i use menu item |Home|). So that i don't have to create Category "Home" and add all new Items there just to show them on a Homepage. Scheme is simple - new Item->add to parent Category->shown on a Homepage.

Hello

only way to do it is:

1. you need to create a "Homepage"
2. assign your items to both their main category and to "Homepage" category as secondary category
3. Your Home menu item must point to category "Homepage"

Please read (again) the FAQ article for more details

Regards

Thanks for the replies guys, i think i have found a problem. Seems like sh404 sef component was messing with redirections. I'll try to fix it and keep going. Thank you anyway.
