about showind item id as a field

hi
i was trying to show the item id as afield
in this topic

and i thought that i succeeded
but when i added more items
i found that the value of the field don't appear for them
in the category view
except in one item which is the recently added

this is the code i used
i don't know what is wrong with it
please help me ..

Hello

this type of select field will make the item id appear in item form

- but you will need to save each item once
- you will need to save new items twice (because the first time the item form has zero item id)


so show this, via a custom column in your template is a better way

i save it many times
but the field disappear after adding a new item
and appears in the new item only !
i mean it appears once in the table !

and is there a tutorial of how to make that column in the template please ?
