I have a tekdi.net PDF viewer plugin and enabled it. When I embed in any flexicontent page / article item it does not work. If I add code to article outside flexicontent it works perfectly.
It's simple code {pdf=http://betaexpress.com/competition.pdf|500|300}

I have had other problems with other plugins / modules that do not work in flexicontent. I reviewed other discussions and found no real clues as to get these other pieces working. can someone help me? Please.
thank you for your time and talents.

1. Have you enabled the plugins for that field?
On the Edit field screen set Trigger content plugins to Yes.
Then select individual plugins.

2. When discussing a particular plugin (or other extension) it would be helpful to have some links instead of having to go find it.

Thank you kenmcd for your quick response. I'm very new to most of this.
1. I don't see trigger content plugins to set it to yes
I did enable the plugin in the plugin module and went through the plugin icon in flexicontent to see it was something I missed.

2. Here is the link to the plugin
extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... ments/5327

I also searched for Edit Screen and trigger content plugins - I also looked in global params.
can you give me another clue.. it's been a long day :|

.
You can set plugins to trigger by field.
So the setting is in the Fields area.

FLEXIcontent > Fields > Edit Description field
Look in the settings on the right.
In the Field specific properties
Trigger content plugins = Yes

I did quickly look through the PDF plugin code - did not see anything which restricts it to com_content so it should work in FLEXIcontent.

Note:
That setting (Trigger content plugins = Yes) really should be the default for the Description field.
Users do expect imported articles to work the same as they did in Joomla com_content.
Going to see if I can change that default.

Hello Kenmcd,

Yes, I see it now and the trigger is active. Yes, it works now. Thank you.

I selected the "embedPDF" in the "specific plugins" list. If I did not select it does that mean ALL the plugins would be active or do I have to select each one before it becomes active?

make it a great day!

If you leave all the plugins unselected, none of them will work. You have to select all the plugins you want to use.
