Hello,

can someone tell me how to create a dropdown on a categories view page in which the user can select a specific category? Or tell me a link where it is described?

If i select different categories and the main category i get the following view:
[attachment=0:s1fhc2h4]<!-- ia0 -->categories.jpg<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:s1fhc2h4]

If i don't select the main category - no categories are shown above.

THX

create your template and modify category.php file to create a list display ;)

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.

Hello,

actually, the upcoming v2.1.0 final has this, in both filtering module and in category view

NOTE: this is not 100% in public package in SVN and v2.1.0 final maybe release after J3.x support is done

by default the category filter display only sub-categories in category view

this is changed (in v2.1.0) into

1. a multi-selection tag-like filter
2. that can display the category tree with filtering and shows already selected categories as disabled inside the tree so Tree structure is not distorted

this is pretty much user friendly (intuitive)

Hello,
this article is not relevant,

you should add to your selected filters the "categories" filter,

also it is better to use
v2.1.0 r1733+ :

code.google.com/p/flexicontent/downloads/list

After installing in frontend category view click CTRL-F5 in your browser to make sure new JS/CSS gets loaded
