Almost any field can be included in faceted search,

- add fields that you need to your content items, and add your content etc
- mark the desirable fields as (search view) "Test Search" or as (Search view) "Filter"-
- Rebuild the Advanced search index (once) , after that any saved or created content is updated automatically
- Create a FLEXIcontent Search View MENU ITEM, configure it and go to frontend to view it

NOTE: to change filter apperance e.g. make a filter be toggle radio, or toggle checkboxes you need to configure this in each field configuration !

NOTE: result layout has been improved in upcoming version , so do not style this yet
NOTE: second page is broken with no results (fixed in upcoming version)

Thanks for the reply ggppdk. Following your instructions helped but it appears that I am a little stuck.

Current Situation:
- I have a field called "Location" with checkbox values of L1,L2,L3).
- This field has been associated with Article Type and a few articles have been created

Objective:
- I would like the filters to appear on the left had side with each location (L1, L2, L3) shown as a checkbox.
- Once a user selects a location, the articles (all associated with one category) would filter in line with the selected location.

This is my approach to implementing a Faceted search or guided navigation. I have tired using "Content Lists Filter Module for FLEXIcontent" module but it only appears to work after I have searched and chosen a search result.

Any help on how I can implement what I am after would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
