No JCE Editor available

Hello,

I am not an expirencend Joomla User. I downloaded com_flexicontent_v2.0_RC9_r1514 and installed it.

Now I can't edit any item - there is no editor and the JCE Editor- yet available on my Joomla system - is gone.

1. How to solve that problem?
2. Can I uninstall flexicontent? I haven't find an option for that.

Yes you can uninstall FLEXIcontent via joomla extension manager (see joomla docs).


When uninstalling FLEXIcontent, ONLY flexicontent extended data will be deleted, but you do not have such data yet, since your installation is new

It is recommended that you read a Joomla tutorial before using FLEXIcontent.

About JCE editor

which version of FLEXIcontent did you install?
what Joomla version do you have?

finally I got it!

I went to edit the type "article". On the right side I found the section "Customize description". I have changed the controls "Hide maintext field" and "Hide Html Editor" to "Use Global" - and the editor appeared!

you mean that the default setting caused the editor not to appear?

or had changed yourself to be disabled before?

honestly, I can't answer your question. Beeing not very organised, it seems possible that I switched the settings by myself.

I don't say that I have done this; but nevertheless it seems possible.
