Hi,

I am opining a new thread because this one has the wrong subject: flexicontent.org/forum/index.php ... pic#p28320

I have installed the first JoomFish Beta from github and I am able to switch languages and translate items, categories and modules. Only if I want to translate menu items I am receiving the following error:

Code:

Fatal error: Cannot assign by reference to overloaded object in /.../htdocs/libraries/joomfish/form/jfformfield.php on line 47

This only happens translating FC menu items. All other menu items can be translated.

I believe that JoomFish is still alive as I was was talking to Alex who is the lead designer of Joomfish. Joomla 2.5 is still lacking a practical multilingual component...

i think joomfish or falang ore better than translation j2.5 but for joomfish waiting .. we want to finish RC9 search and after we check it (we waitting a better beta of joomfish)

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.

Hmm. Joomfish Beta for 2.5 is, as far as I can judge, working. I am using it on non FlexiContent pages without problems.

If I would knew that FC will work with JoomFish in the near future I would start to translate my current page. This will take some time anyway! The only pitfall is that the menu item translation is not working. Everything else (accept FC article switching of course) is working. As far as I tested.

ok, we will need to test this

also do not add content association of translations with Joomfish , prefer to use flexicontent built-in solution
