Menu and Component links

Hi,
I just want to check that I am not missing a trick here and doing things un-necessarily. This is what I have done so far..
1. Installed the component into an existing site
2. All existing sections and categories have been automatically created under the new "FLEXIcontent" section
3. All articles have been automatically copied to the new flixContent categories.

So what I think I need to do now to complete the conversion is.
1. Manually re-assign all menu links to the new articles
2. Manually re-assign all component links to the new categories or articles.

My question is, am I right that these are manual tasks and I haven't missed something to get them automatically re-assigned?

Many thank,
Brent

btw. Looks like this will be a great component

Hi and welcome aboard, sorry no one answered to you before, but it's holidays time ....

So right now, what you have done is the right thing to do, and yes you have to finish this manually, at least this is how I understand it right now.

I guess as noone answered to you before, you solved it yourself, I hope you did not run into problems and thought you would not have help here :(

If you still have questions, just ask, I am no techie, but I'll be online and try to point you in the right direction .... and the big guys will soon be back :)

Hi bsky92,
Thanks for the reply... yep I've made the changes manually... not too bad as my site was only small but can imagine it could be a bigger chore for someone with lots of links.
Maybe this could be a future change (some people are never happy I know :D )
I'll be playing around with it a bit more next week.

Hope you have / had a good new year... I'm off to get drunk now.

cheers,
Brent
