Hi There, and firstly, thank you for a very promising tool. It looks like just the sort of thing I need.

I have just started looking at Flexi content and have run across an issue / have some questions. I have read the forums, and have seen something like it ( in French unfortunately for me : ) but have not been able to come up with a solution.

What I am looking to do, is include various other joomla content plugins, inside an actual article ( Not inside the fields section of FlexiContent). For example the tabs&slides in content items from JoomlaWorks. ( Also GoogleMaps2 ).. and I am sure others that I have not found in my test site yet just as video plugins etc that use the {plugin} style calls from within an articles main structure.

I have tried a few different plugins and can’t get any to work. It just displays the {plugin} to screen failing to parse the plugin call.

Firstly, is it possible to do this? I have seen the blog post on universal content plugin support, but that seems to be placing the plugin inside the actual fields section which is not what I want to do.

I am sorry if I am asking a silly question or if I just don’t understand what I am doing ( very possible : ), but I really need to be able to do this on the site I am working on.

My second question is.. I am using JCE editor. When I create a jcepopup link to a Flexicontent article, rather than loading just the article in the window, it loads the entire site structure (Menus etc) in the popup. Does anyone have any ideas on what I am doing wrong? I recreated the article under the standard com_content section, and it pops up by itself as expected, but not if I load the FlexiContent article..

My 3rd question, is how do I go about displaying an item WITHOUT the infoblock? IE: I want to have an an intem that calls a {plugin} as described above, such as a map, or an small 'opening' hours item, and I dont want to display the info block at all.. Is this possible for specific items / catagories etc.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, many thanks in advance

Hi and welcome

For your third question, you can have specific templates for items, so why not make one template that does not display the infoblock ? this would be the normal flexicontent way to do this.

I am not sure I understood your first question, but for plugins in items, they always are related to fiels, as just anything is in a filed. the description where you probably will have you main article content is a filed. :) So you will have to activate the content plugins for this particular field where you insert your content, and you can use them. I hope I answered the real question, not one I made out :)

About JCE, I have no idea ....

Hi Again..

Thank you so much for that bsky.

Re the plugins.. you where spot on! Sorry if I was a little vague. I thought there was something I was missing :) The idea of everything being a field clears up some other conceptual issues I was having as well... and opens up lots of Possibilities I had not thought of before. Plugins working now! :D

I thought creating a 'blank' template was the way to go, but could not work out how to do it. As soon as you mentioned 'everything' was a field... in particular the description!! the it all made sense.. and was sooo easy (Doh!)

With the JCE issue, I will do some digging and might post it as a specific question.. or just try another light box/popup.. not like it's the only one.. it was just an easy one :D

So thank you again, for a wonderful tool, and fantastic support.
