Hi all,

I just started using flexicontent and I am blown away already.Kudos to developers and community.

I am trying to build a content type "initiative" which has fields like:
-who organizes it
-where
-when
usual stuff.

So far so good. I am also trying to figure out how to display within the initiative, either a list or a calendar of events planned during the same period.

I was thinking to structure the whole thing as following:
- type event: following the flexicontent event template. Events are inserted by third parties indipendently from the initiative.
- type initiative as I said before.

Here is my question:

Is it possible to trigger a plugin that displays the event list (of course the plugin needs to be written) using the values coming from the initiative's "start date field" and "end date field"?

In other words, how would you display a dymamic list of selected items (type a) within one item (type b)?

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Hello Micker,

thank you very much for sharing. that is very interesting.
At first glance it looks like that if i don't have an initiative I can't bind events on it and the other way around. But again it is worth to give a look into it.

At the moment I worked the issue out by extending aidanews module which already provides a stunning support for flexifields.

Thanks a lot anyways for your effort and the very quick reply
