So, I created a fresh new install of Joomla. Installed flexiaccess / content. Imported all my Joomla categories. Tried to create a menu item to an imported item and it gave me the blank stare "the page does not exist" when I clicked on the link. No biggy, just trying it out...

So, I create a new category and sub category, with view permissions set to public. Create an item within that subcategory. Create a flexicontent menu item and publish it. Go to the main page, refresh, click the link and get a pop up on top that says I need to login. Why do I need to login for a page that is set to public?

I did a new install, seems to be a non-issue now.

if it's solved add [solved] in your title

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?
