[SOLVED] Filters not showing up?

I can't get the filters to show up at all on category view. Because they didn't show, I searched here. I even went to the q&d thread that gave all kinds of tips (like getting labels to show before the filters) but I can't get it to show at all.

See the attached image. See how the labels are showing, but no boxes with filter info.

And yes I do have filters set to show for each category

did you clran your cache and expired cache ?

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Yes. I cleaned the cache and purged the expired cache. Still nothing. ??? Here's a copy of my changed category_items.php file inside the default template folder. Did I knock something off or change something by accident when I was adding code to make the columns sortable and the code to show filter labels? Maybe those code hacks were for an older version of Flexicontent and I just didn't pay enough attention??

EDIT: When I was skimming through the info, I overlooked the fact that ONLY fields created as a "Checkbox", "Select" or "Radio" can be set as filters. Regular "Text" fields cannot be filterable.
