Create Image Gallery

Hello to everyone
Does anyone have any idea how this can be done through the fields like a gallery with pictures like very simple image gallery. My idea is to insert several pictures, one of them, such as the first, is inserted, to be larger, while others are small. After clicking on the small pictures to open in place of the big picture, not in a new window or multibox.

First of all, Emannuel, thanks for this fantastic component! If it can do everything you say it can, it will certainly become "the missing link" i was looking for.

I have a request from my client, to build him a portfolio website, with his architectural works, presented in a form of galleries. I found a couple of decent ones (galleries), but they are all missing some needed functionality, so i decided to give flexi a shot. I read that it's possible to create a gallery with it, but i can't find a step by step howto on this subject anywhere. This phatfusion gallery, on your link, would be more than sufficient, if i could create a field with text/description of a project above or bellow it, and if the process of creating new galleries in the future would not be too complicated.

Can you please tell me, what should i do to make this happen?

Try on a test site.

In Joomla,
Install Flexi Content and enable it.
Install your image gallery plugin. Enable it.

In Flexi, create a new article TYPE (call it gallery).

In Fields, create a new text field (call it gallery) - Assign it to Gallery Type
Select Yes - Trigger Content Plugins
Select specific gallery plugin from list.
Save it.

In Items create new Gallery Type Item and save it.
Return to Items view, select the new item and this time edit it, the gallery field will be displayed...

At this point you need to enter the ID or name of the gallery images folder in the text field you created. (you may need to upload/create the gallery directory beforehand)

Publish the item Type to view the gallery. You'll need to play around with the gallery settings etc to get your desired effects.

The above is not definitive - but should get you started.

Great... thanks for this tutorial... it got me started alright... In the end you also need to put you custom user field in the template.
