if you have been running mijoSEF a long time

- it means that google has indexed your pages using the mijoSEF urls,
- and also some user may have bookmarked various website URLs

so swithing to SH404SEF may hurt your google ranking, because URLs will propably change

Finally,
a not bad option is to use FLEXIcontent default SEF urls, they are good enough !

To use FLEXIcontent SEF urls, you only need to enable SEF options in Joomla Global configuration
(That is all options excepy the "unicode" option which is optional)

... and then the FLEXIcontent URLs will get their SEF look
- note you need to rename file: htaccess.txt to .htaccess
(if you have not done already)


And, no you do not need to uninstall mijoSEF,
you can go in mijoSEF configuration and disable its usage for "component" FLEXIcontent,
- thus mijoSEF will be used for other components

Having disabled MijoSEF, empty the URL 404, and to reactivate all working again.

I disabled all Flexicontent way, I'll make new pages and I hope it will continue to operate.
