Alléger la base de données

Bonjour,

Greg

Hello,
you can execute in phpmyadmin:

truncate yourDBprefix_flexicontent_versions
and
truncate yourDBprefix_flexicontent_items_versions

note that these tables are only used in item form , so they do not effect your frontend
Having the versioning enabled, slows down the item form a little.
Only if you have many people editting many items simultanously, only then you will see an effect if frontend views

About having a faster frontend, i suggest
- installing v2.0.2
- remove filters that you do not need from category views
- enable joomla's cache plugin (if you do not mind your content changes appearing after 15 minutes)
- test using a compression extension for CSS / JS (test this to make sure it breaks nothing)

Hi,

Thanks for quick reply.
I empty these 2 table.

About your suggestion.
I've done everything exept installing new version v2.0.2

I use my own template and I am a bit scare to have to redo again as well as I read in some post about loosing the difference between Jommla article and FLEXIcontent one; I'd like to keep Joomla and FLEXIcontent dissociate with their own structure.

I can't found thispost again, could you confirm me if I keep everything like today if I upgrade to new version. The part of my website unsing Flexicontent is www.nomadsroad.com/fr/le-voyage-et-pays-.../les-pays-et-regions

Thanks in advance for your answer

You should
1. create a duplicate site
2. test installing v2.0.2

about loosing the difference between Joomla article and FLEXIcontent one (this is in J2.5 and not in J1.5, in J2.5 all joomla articles are handled by FLEXIcontent, we hope to be able to limit to a top-level category in the future)
