Hi:
I’m using the universal flexicontent module in carousel mode which is only pulling text fields. I’m having an issue with the first slide in which it shows more than one item. After the first slide cycles to the second everything displays properly. Is there a recommended remedy for this or a way to force the speed of the first cycle?

Thanks,
Tom

Hello

so you are using carousel in vertical mode ?

if you add images does it set the height before 1st scroll/slide operation ?

Hello:
Yes, I’m using vertical mode because 100% width works perfectly. The overall height seems to be calculating correctly on page load, it’s just the first slide that is not displaying correctly. I’ve exaggerated the padding and max text length to illustrate what is happening. I’ve also switched to a core Joomla template to make sure my template is not the cause of any conflicts.

The sequence below is: Page Load / Item 1 | Item 2 | Item 3 | Going back to Item 1

Hello

the carousel template (and the carousel JS script was revised) to offer for both vertical and horizontal

- responsive mode (specify # items)
OR
- fixed ITEM size (px), that is width for horizontal and height for vertical

Thus e.g.
to get a responsive horizontal slideshow, you can set # items to 1

Also 2 bugs including the one that you reported are fixed

you may use them in v2.2.1 rc2+ it should be available next days

Hello

^ Revised carousel template (univeral content module) and carousel JS script, to offer

(a) both responsive (# items) and fixed (item size px) fittings,

(b) various image-to-content placement methods: floated (right/left), cleared (above/below), overlayed (top/bottom/full),

(c) auto-image-fit for cleared, overlayed methods,

(d) auto-show overlayed content for mouse over and/or active,

(e) item activation on mouse over,

(f) improved / revised CSS in regardss to styling and fitting, e.g. very good visibility in overlay mode

You may zip and install from here (into a development web-site):
github.com/FLEXIcontent/flexico ... 2.x_stable

This update resolved the issues I encountered!! This is such a feature rich module and overcomes the URL issues I had with other featured news modules.

Thank you for the update and support!!!
