Sorting by custom field in FC module

Hi,

I am working on a website for a film distributor and I want to display items sorted by release date (a custom date field) ascending or descending.

EG: Ascending for upcoming films and descending for just released films.

Is it a way to achieve this?

in category view?

You don't mention if you tried changing the sort order in category parameters

Yes, it is not there, i guess we need to add this:, i don't think that is too much work, i have opened a high priority issue not to forget:
