FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Sure, after the French versions are there I will add a link. ;)

I updated FLEXIcontent to 1.5.6 preRC3 (r1110).
I was hesitant to do so as i have errors on the Items view on my local server, but it seems to be fine here.

Have been working on the Extensions Directory the last couple days.
Will enter the categories tonight.
And will try to finish the template tomorrow.
:D

Hello Ken,

if you have never installed joomfish the
#__languages table is missing, and you will have errors, i will commit fix soon.

Can post any errors messages that you have?

About Yannick, not being able to edit items in faq category.

I gave to the FLEXIaccess admin group permissions to edit all categories.

This permission was never assigned to admin group, that is why Yannick could edit items in the faq category.

Just checked and there is no #__languages table.
This testing website was created from the 2012-01-07 backup file.

When I click on Items I get:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in
C:\xampp\htdocs\flexicontentorg\administrator\components\com_flexicontent\models\items.php
on line 1472

and

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in

Just tested again on my local server - and it is working!
I think what happened is I did not log-out/log-in.
My guess is the session and/or cookies needed to clear.
I thought I was goin' nuts! (actuslly a different issue)
;)

Great!
Thanks for entering all that stuff.
Yes, the only thing which should be in Download now is official files.
I set it up this way to separate these.
So I have removed the Download category from all the extensions you entered.

I am going to be working on the category template today.
The description is not showing even though it is there and enabled.
So I going to look at fixing that first.

But more important is to make it vertical columns.
Like the JED (that is a Mosets Tree add-on category template) .
Like the FLEXIcontent directory view.

I want it to flow down and fill the column.
Right now it goes across and then zig-zags down the page.
Very hard to deal with the fixed height on each row.
Creates quite a mess of spaces on the page.
Going to need this for the docs category too. ;)

This was a very common request in the Sobi2 forum.
Users wanted the same vertical layout as Mosets Tree and the JED.

When working this is definitely a template to add to the core.
Lots of demand for it.
:D

Keep in mind this is a work-in-progress, so it may be messy for awhile.
Also going to be creating an Extension item template.
Need to add a few things, remove a few things.

.
One of the tree menus may be useful later, but right now I am talking about getting the main page to display in vertical columns.

Then it is easier to display categories in the order desired without a bunch of whitespace in odd places.

Just realized I need to also look at updating all the customized templates currently in use to the new versions.
