Flexicontent route problem

Flexicontent route problem was created by uninvited

Hi,
I've a strange behaviour routing to a category view in flexicontent.
The statement:
$link = JRoute::_(FlexicontentHelperRoute::getCategoryRoute($catslug));
do not produce the correct link to the category view
it always produce
http://localhost/component/flexicontent/
I've tried also with catid instead of catslug but with the same result.
I've debugged components/com_flexicontent/router.php and I've noticed that in this case it doesn't fill the $segments[] array in the FLEXIcontentBuildRoute method.
Any solutions?

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?
