[solved] Lower level users can't view high level access

So when a user in a group that has a higher level of access writes a story, users that have access to that same category can't even see that article/item listed.

So in this example, if anyone in the Admin group writes a story for the Police Category, the users in the Police group (that have access to this category) do not see the stories. The Police group ONLY sees stories users in their group writes.

Here is how I have it setup:[attachment=2:13f2fcdp]<!-- ia2 -->1.jpg<!-- ia2 -->[/attachment:13f2fcdp]

And here is what you can see if you are in the Admin group and in the Police group...

The more I troubleshoot this and test, I wonder, is it suppose to be like this?

Or is it a bug or did I do something wrong that I'm just not seeing?

Hi,
I'm not sure to understand correctly. Can you try to change this parameter and say to me if changes something for you:

Yea, that fixes it.

I had that setting turned off because it would only show articles for the category that group had access to but I didn't realize it only gave them access to their articles (which makes obvious sense).

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

In a future version I'll try to change that to the items the user has rights on but I didn't find any other solution than a loop on the full contents set which would consume to many ressources :( especially for big websites.
The problem hangs on the heritance with the unlimited nested cats.
But I'm sure the solution will come... some day.
Cheers,
Emmanuel.
