Level for Groups?

What is the point of the drop down for the Level when creating Groups?

What does that control?

The levels allows two things:
First it indents the goroups in the group list, to make the group hierarchy more visual.
Secondly when someone is allowed to grant perms in a category or for a content he can only change permissions of the groups that have a lower level.

This may be stupid in a developer point of view but in FLEXIaccess group structure you have a total freedom in nesting groups because you set children instead of parent (and that changes everything)
This allow you for example to create multiple node structure but the problem is that it makes imposible to draw an understandable tree automatically.

With group levels and reordering, you do it yourself for you specific purpose.

OK cool - makes perfect sense and just from the visual stand point, I REALLY like to be able to see the hierarchy, the other features that comes with it makes it even better.

I just wasn't sure when you were creating groups if it did anything by picking which level - so I thought I'd ask.
