flexiacces stops website

I am impressed with the possibilities of flexicontent, and flexiaccess.

However I cannot install flexiaccess successful.
I do get flexicontent successfully installed.
And I also changed the lines inside the php file as instructed in the install notes for flexiaccess.
But after that I still get this error-message:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class JMenu in /.../html/plugins/system/flexiaccess/menu.php on line 297

And I really do not know how to solve this.
I used the latest version of flexicontent (1.5.3a stable (r345), and of flexiaccess (1.0.5).

Any advice much appreciated!

Best regards,

Paul

Hi Paul,
I think the flexiaccess post-install failed and the original admin menu was not unpublished.
Try to reinstall FLEXIaccess above.
Then logout IMMEDIATELY after the install process
Login again
Go to component > flexiaccess
And verify you have the three default groups (Public, Registered, Default Group)
Tell me if it solves your issue.
Cheers,
Emmanuel.

Hi Emmanuel,

Problem solved!

I did what you told me tot do, and the earlier errormessage is nowhere in sight: i just look at the normal website home page.

Thank you very much.

I will now start exploring the many sides of your flexi-content and flexi-access. Lots to learn!

Best regards,

Paul

Hi again,

With a new installation of FlexiAccess I get exactly the same error message. I did the log-out immediately step as you told me but it did not result in a working install.

This is the error message:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class JMenu in /.../domains/praktijktoetsen.nl/html/plugins/system/flexiaccess/menu.php on line 297

And as before: I really do not know how to solve this.
I used the latest version of Flexicontent (1.5.3c stable (r354), and of flexiaccess (1.0.5a).
(I did check on the forum and found that is is better not to activate gzip; so I de-activated that. Bus it seems that I am the only one with this specific error?)

Any advice much appreciated!

Best regards,

Paul

Hi Paul,
Could you give me a temporary superadmin access on your server, so that I can figure myself what's wrong?
Cheers,
Emmanuel.
