[Explained] Using a 3rd parth Joomla Navigation Plugin

Custom Page navigation has the cool feature of adding the navigation buttons anywhere you can insert the tag {loadnavigation}. Apart from this, it also has the ability to customize the plugin buttons.
But it does not work with flexi content could you please analyze this plugin.

This plugin seems to work fine only when placed inside the "Description field". It does not work with other field and placing it in the suffix/prefix fields also do not have any effects

yes this plugin will work only when placed in description text, because it uses event:
onContentBeforeDisplay

which is triggered only for description text.

BUT you could propably display it a different places with a custom FLEXIcontent template

inside item.php (copy code inline to customize as message says inside it) search for:
<?php echo $this->item->event->beforeDisplayContent; ?>

and move it at the desired place

-- BUT this plugin is not aware of FLEXIcontent multiple categories per item , so it will not work in the secondary item's categories !! so i discourage using it
