In my experience, this approach is better since clients typically upload their own JPG files. The bigger issue, however, tends to arise in the maintext field where clients often upload massive 5MB+ image files, impacting performance.

How do you manage situations where clients upload images directly into the maintext field?

Another advantage is the ability to disable it if clients run out of storage space, keeping it flexible.

flexicontent doesn't rezize on upload in editor that an editor function, but you can use image how was uploaded in a flexicontent field in editor ...
in flexicontent you can set max size of original image. User can upload 5mo but we rezize it with max size for better optimisation
i update the issue to study more the best way to add this

and we have an other big project, we update all flexicontent view with most moderne css approch (flex and grid) :
- unify html5 / html
- more cleaner display and responsive
- lighter css (remove not necessary css)
- more clean grid template (alignement, auto height etc)
- more clean table display
- min-max grid approch for better responsive
- more lighter and cleaner item view

Awesome -that bug list is coming down - could you also check that image in tab works as well?

The reason is: I updated a site yesterday with FLEXIContent master - but needed to reintegrate some code to get images in tabs to work.

So - just wondering. If I get a chance I'll test that beta.
