Hi,

I have a multilingual site with a frontend form that includes and image upload field. Is it possible to change the language of the tooltip on the image field buttons?

Thanks

Hello

The way to do today
1 . only way to do with current version is to change the tooltip is to make the image-gallery field not translatable in field configuration
2. then for every translation (item association) you will re-add the images and ... write the tooltip text in the desired language

Another (future) (but easy to implement) solution would be to allow including text for all languages inside the SAME form field
Code:
en-GB##Text A~~de-DE##Text B##fr-FR##Text C

- and auto-split the text when used to show current language, only hiding the other texts
Text C

and when viewing if no text for current language is found (item form or item viewing)
then use website default language

If I have an item that is language All and appears on both the French and English sides of the site, is it not possible to have the tooltips display in the current language?

Attached photo of the tooltip I am questioning.

Thanks

Hello

i think i understand you now

you mean the User Interface tooltips like "Add photo" ? (that you are showing in your picture)

Strange we do not have and "Add image" or "Add photo" language string
maybe the field 's PHP code has been modified ?

Yes, I do mean the user interface toolftips, I should have specified.

I don't think the PHP would have been changed, I don't know where the file is that would contain the language string.

The text that appear seems to be the Title on the button's span (attached photos); is that something that can be changed?

Thanks again
