Would be nice to allow us to choose what:
1-types of content
2-ctagories
3-items

DO NOT SHOW in search results.

I have so many problems with clients becouse slieshow items and items for tests are showing in the search results and I cannot hide them for the results.

Please consider :)

Hello,

this should be a content Type that is not searchable?

or a category that is not searchable ?

or even individual items ?

Examples of things to disable in search:

1 - I have a list of FAQ's but I don't allow the user to link directly to each item individually.
2 - The same happens to slideshow items in categories
3 - Sometimes in the same item type we could need some that are searchable and others not.

The hierarchy should be from broad to detail:

4 - Global
3 - Category
2 - Type
1 - Item

Maybe this hierachy is possible

by creating
- empty BASIC search index records (content lists , category, etc)
- no ADVANCED search index records (search view)

The search index records are created at 2 points
-1- item saving
-2- index rebuilding
