Display text on frontend item submission

Hi,

I have modified the hidden field in order to just to display a simple text (with pretag and posttag) on the frontend item submission.

By the way, modifying the template is not sufficient because it is not possible to choose the place to display the field (e.g. between 2 other fields).

Is it possible to make a field without data saving ?

Thank you

You can do it using the new group marker field

1. Create a new groupmarker field
2. Set it to be separator type and add the desired HTML/text
3. Assigned it to the Content Type(s) you wish
4. Goto back to fields management Tab and filter by the desired Type
5. Order and place your field at the desired position

You may also want to place some field in fieldsets or tabs, read how to here:
www.flexicontent.org/documentati ... -form.html

Please do not place "required" fields inside TABs, since auto-focus to unfilled required fields is not implemented/supported when fields are placed inside TABs

I see that i did not commit it for J2.5 version, will do ...

This is missing from xml file of the field

<option value="html_separator" >Custom HTML Separator</option>

add it or wait for me to commit and make a (final) build

The field list is table-less in the new tmpl/form.php and tmpl/default.php (backend) (unless you have an old template override file)

This means you can use
style='clear:both; width:100%'

or similar styling to achieve what you need ......

Regards
