Category Thumbnails - Pop up / lightbox option

Hi - is it possible to ad a feature that lets us select whether category thumbnails are not only clickable (which currently takes you to the article) or to make them clickable with a pop-up full size (lightbox style)??

It would be a handy feature - especially for galleries utilizing flexicontent.

if I understand correctly, you want the thumbnail that extracted from image field on category view does not lead to the article, but opens in a popup window. Thus, do not open the items. Is that what you mean?

I guess you speak of categories that use the blog template.

Go to the category and then scroll down and open the "blog template" parameters, then set the parameter "Link Image" to "No",

NOTE, you can set this separately for "leading" items and for "standard" items

NOTE, there is no parameter to make the thumbnail openable in a popup, if you want this then you must use "default" (table) or the "presentation" (modular positions, new in v1.5.6) to display items with an image field that opens in a popup. In the image field configuration you can configure the sizes.

Then if you have many categories that have the same configuration, you can use the "copy parameters" button (in category backend management tab) to quickly update many categories
