Excluding types from search

Hi. Possible bug: Flexicontent 3.0.9 dev2

Using a Flexicontent search menu item, using basic index. If a content type is not included under Searchable Types and a word is selected for search that appears within items of that type then an "Error: The character encoding of the HTML document was not declared" occurs.

If that type is then added to Searchable Types then the error disappears, however, it is then not possible to exclude types from the search.

I know the error has been found earlier with a bad XML file however in this case I have isolated it to the above.

Hello

the problem is only if you select "basic search index" ?
or is it same if you "advanced search index" ?

please test with this:
github.com/FLEXIcontent/flexicontent-cck/releases/

(remember to click CTRL-F5 once in a view to make sure that you have latest JS downloaded)

- also related, re-indexing should be faster, please test re-indexing in backend search manager

Tks. I updated the site to Flexicontent 3.0.9 11.10.2015 and used F5.

The initial error report was with "basic search" selected. With Flexicontent update and reindexing the same, original error is occurring using basic search and a type containing the word excluded.

When using the Advanced Search any use of text search (after reindexing and it didn't matter whether type was included or excluded) results in a 1066 error:

Not unique table/alias: 'f' SQL=SELECT i.id FROM mncwt_content AS i JOIN mncwt_categories AS c ON c.id = i.catid JOIN mncwt_flexicontent_items_ext AS ie ON ie.item_id = i.id JOIN mncwt_flexicontent_types AS ty ON ie.type_id = ty.id JOIN mncwt_flexicontent_advsearch_index as ts ON ts.item_id = i.id AND ts.field_id IN (6,1) AND MATCH (ts.search_index) AGAINST ('+vvvcontactor*' IN BOOLEAN MODE) JOIN mncwt_flexicontent_fields as f ON f.id=ts.field_id LEFT JOIN mncwt_flexicontent_fields_item_relations AS f ON f.item_id = i.id AND f.field_id=20 WHERE 1 AND i.state IN (1,-5) AND c.published = 1 AND ( i.publish_up = '0000-00-00 00:00:00' OR i.publish_up <= UTC_TIMESTAMP() ) AND ( i.publish_down = '0000-00-00 00:00:00' OR i.publish_down >= UTC_TIMESTAMP() ) AND ty.access IN (0,1,1,5) AND c.access IN (0,1,1,5) AND i.access IN (0,1,1,5) GROUP BY i.id ORDER BY f.value DESC, i.title LIMIT 0, 50

Hello

about SQL error see my above answer

about the other problem that you describe,
"Error: The character encoding of the HTML document was not declared"

i cannot replicate it
it maybe related to reasons specific to your website, e.g. Joomla template override for the search view

send me a PM with frontend link to the search view
