Hello,
I have being struggling with this bug for a while, I am not sure it is a FLEXICONTENT bug, but I think it is.

I have reported this is the past but now I know why this is happening.

The bug: FRONT END SUBMISSION .JS NOT WORKING IN FRONT END in IE7 and IE8

How to reproduce:
1 - We have a Rockettheme template, just to clarify
2 - We also have JCE as the EDITOR again to clarify
3 - Create a menu item with front end submission
4 - add 2 custom fields a date field and a image field
5 - open the item in ie7 or ie8 in front end
6 - you will notice right away that the EDITOR is not loaded and the FLEXIAcess accordion does not work, not only that but also the DATE FIELD pop-up calendar does not work.

I think becouse mootools and flexi jquery collapse. Could it be?
please give it a test and gimme some feedback, if possible a solution. FIREFOX AND CHROME works great.

It seems to be an issue with the newer version of jquery.

Try this, goto file
components/com_flexicontent/views/items/tmpl/form.php
find:

Code:

if(!JPluginHelper::isEnabled('system', 'jquerysupport')) {
	JHTML::_('behavior.mootools');
	$this->document->addScript('administrator/components/com_flexicontent/assets/js/jquery-1.6.2.min.js');
}

change jquery number to 1.4.4

Test ...

I think the file where I am suppose to paste is not the same as the form.php, I think you meant view.html.php if that is the one it didn't work for me.

From what I debug it just didn't loaded.
is that the correct file?

I manage to get the idea of what you where trying and this is what I did and it work.

Delete does lines (the ones that load jquery) and added manually to the index.php to the top of everything and it worked, everything was loaded correctly.

Is this what you where trying? The only thing missing is the correct file and where to put it.

If you already load the jquery else you could remove them altogether, or move them in the joomla template beginning.

mmm, the latest version has these lines in the file, i described.

Thanks for reporting, will change version of jquery for frontend to v1.4.4, till we find what is wrong.

We have downgrade it 2 and works for now.

with internet explorer "debbuger" moo-tools gives me 3 errors, this are the ones:

It seems to be conflict with mootools and the newer version of JQuery, don't know why ..., i think final release of v1.5.6 will be with JQuery v1.4.4 for front end. Hope to find time to finish up a couple of things for the new search next.
