Make field labels bold

I am a newbie when it comes to css. I was trying to figure out how to do the following:

1. Make my field labels "BOLD"
2. Put a colon after the field labels.

When i tried to make the labels bold, it made the label and data for that label bold. I can I just affect the label and not the info?

I'm just CLUELESS as to add the colon after the label.

Please help. I am computer literate and catch on quick. I have been searching for a solution and have come CLOSE but nothing has worked. Thanks.

to do this use css and edit your template

To add the colon is simple easy. Go to the component - fields and at the colon to the label.

But I'm confused to make the label in section 1-3 bold. When I change the css the label and the value are bold. :
Someone have a little food for thought for me?

you need to edit css file found in template> default folder. (item.css)

edit below one to make bold labels.

: If you are using blog view.. edit css found in blog folder (item.css)

Hi, I edit Item layout in default template and try this : Result: the title in Button Template's zone is bold, but titles in subtitle1, subtitle2, subtitle3 and other zone isn't bold. What the problem? Thanks.

check other title in position with firebug to find line of css
