Can't download in backend an uploaded file via submission form in frontend

Hi,

I'm building a site with a frontend which is basically a flexicontent submission form. There are different types of fields plugin used: images, files, etc.
Everything works fine when the submission is done and the user uploaded files are stored in the right place (saying images/documents).

My client wants the uploaded files to be only viewable by admins. Some of these uploaded files are not images but regular files with .doc or .pdf extensions.

The issue is the following:
When editing an item as an admin, I can see the name of the uploaded files corresponding to the submission form.
But I can't download them !

I've tried many different configuration (probably too many, I must have checked or unchecked something wrong) but I haven't find what I was looking for.

How can I do that?
Please tell me if you can't figure out what I'm saying!

Arnaud

Hello

Try adding the file field as a column in backend items manager

- to add extra columns that will appear for all item types,
add the field as a custom column,
in component configuration: Backend manager TAB, Items manager TAB

The above will make the column appear when "Item type" Filter is empty (backend items manager)

- to add a column that appears when the "Item type" Filter is filtering via a specific type
go to backend types manager , and add the field as a custom column in TAB: Items manager

Done!
I now can see the download button (and view button also) in a new column.
The point is that when I click, I get redirected to the dashboard (url : index.php?option=com_flexicontent&id=XX&cid=XX&fid=XX&task=download but NOTHING HAPPENS!
Have I missed something?
Thank you

Thanks!
I'm kind of proud for having found a bug in your incredible extension :-)
Please tell me when it's done or what lines to change in the code.
Thanks again.

Hi.
I'd like to know if you have something new concerning my issue:
the link generated in backend to download a file listed via backend items managers doesn't work (see previous messages).
Thanks you for your work.
