Email links issue

Hi,

This question is 2 fold:

1. When I create a Email plug-in for a template the email address is created correctly, but the page still contains "mailto:emailaddress". From what I read about email cloaking, the email addresses should be shown as in image. Can you please clarify this?

2. With the weblink plug in, it tracks the number of clicks on it. Can the same be done for email links?

The email address is cloaked through JS. I guess if you see mailto you're watching the source with firebug which interprets the js
Try the command view source in your browser and you'll see what happens.
If it's still not cloaked verify that the cloaking content plugin is activated.

It's a good idea but not so easy to achieve. I don't have time for that at the moment. If a customer ask me for that I'll develop it but there's no plan at the moment.
