Hi all, this is my first post. I tried searching some posts where this is being explained, but I cannot find the right answer. What happend is that I received an abuse notification for modules/mod_flexiadvsearch/tmpl/template.php. Other sites have been hacked as well a few weeks ago. Due to the fact my lead developer is not working with me anymore, I have to fix this myself. I'm not a real programmer, but I can build Joomla websites.

How do I need to look to this?

1.uninstall flexicontent
2.update the joomla 2.5.28 site to joomla 3.4.5
3. install flexicontent
4.migrate the data

Is there an export function inside flexicontent? Cause I have no clue how to transfer the data otherwise. I have no clue how to work with mysql queries. Never did it.

Can anyone point me out to a step by step sollution?

Thanks in advance!

Hello

do not uninstall FLEXIcontent because it will delete the DB tables

- instead upgrade to Joomla 3.4.5
- then upgrade to v3.09-rc6c

NOTE: you will also need to remove any hacks from filesystem or DB

thanks, I will try that. Why I asked this, is because I tried it with another website and as soon as I ugraded to J3.x, the backend became unavailable. Probably due to another component at that time. but I will test this tonight. Thanks!

I have no idea, I think the latest one. I already had to take the website down. After that I will need to look for places where the abuse took place to remove those. I normally use RSfirewall, but I can imagine that it will not detect everything since manual scripting will not be able to be detected.

I keep you posted.

Hello

if you open backend FLEXIcontent dashboard
or if you look at the bottom of file:

administrator/components/com_flexicontent/defineconstants.php

then you will see the version, can you check the version ?
