Fresh install problem with com_flexicontent_v2.0_RC8_r1496

Hi

I used to implement flexicontent on j15 but since j25 it has been having one or other issue.

Today I thought let me try to implement latest version
com_flexicontent_v2.0_RC8_r1496

After install and updates - refresh - when global configuration is saved or save and close - the joomla global configuration gets displayed - installation does not get completed

FYI - backend / front cache clean up has been tried

May be it is going to take some more time for j25 and then after few months we have j30 coming up
Will this extension again collapse or is it being tested on j30.

Just now tested (again) r1496 , on a fresh installation of Joomla 2.5.6

Could it be that you have 3rd system plugin that is causing this use?

what type is your server , do you can send me a PM to check this?

Which Joomla version do you have?

I have the same problem.
It seems that the last version has issue with the GLOBAL_CONFIGURATION.

a yes i remember this, the data sent to the server are reset when trying to save global configuration,

can you test on server with newer or different PHP version?

also please use RC9 r1514 (the effect on your existing server will be same, you cannot use it, only fix i found was to remove half parameters of global configuration otherwise all POSTED data is cleared

I cannot change php version, I am on the same server as the live site.

Web Server Apache/2.2.3 (Linux/SUSE)
Joomla! 2.5.7
FLEXIcontent version 2.0.0 RC8 (r1496)

the php version is too old for AKEEBA backup, I requested an upgrade of the php to 5.3 or higher.
