In the 'Realiser son site de recettes avec Flexicontent'
I have read that we can customize the RSS file to allow display of 'customized Flexicontent files'

Flux RSS personalisable avec les champs FLEXIcontent

.

How can I create such a RSS file ?

Thank you for advices
best regards

Michel

Hello

hhmm, i am not sure of the above

you can customize the RSS feeds not the "RSS files"

you can select image cut description, and add custom fields to the view, via component and category parameters, but you cannot customize the RSS feed creating file

-- the file that creates ths RSS feed is:
component/com_flexicontent/views/category/view.feed.php

which will be overwritten when you upgrade

-- Flexicontent is Free but involves a big effort on our part.

Of course I was speaking about the feed and not the file.

I was searching in the field description.
I have found it in the category parameter.

thank you best regards

I have done a test.
No problem to get the image field in the RSS field. I use a customized image field which is not present in all article type used in the category.
I get the image for articles which have the image field.

I have a problem with the customized field : impossible to get a customized field in the RSS field.

I want to add a text field which is not present in all articles type found in the category.
I never get the content of the customized field.

I think I have found an origin to the problem :
If the field has a prefix or/and a suffix the field doesn't appear in the RSS. If the field has no prefix nor suffix no problem the field appears in the RSS.

best regards

Hello

I have done some other tests.

The fields containing a prefix/suffix are not displayed if in the prefix/suffix there is a copy of another field.

If the prefix/suffix contains only a text : no problem it's working.

best regards

Hello

the RSS view will not load CSS if your prefix/suffix is adding HTML with css classes , it will not have an effect
