category description [solved]

Hello,

I'm not a developper but i need to show the category title + category description on the right of the articles in the sidebar.

i found a module ( category description ) to do the job, but it looks in the section table and thus do not work with flexicontent.

I think it 's just a matter of table and fields to look at and bring back. But as i do not understand the joomla php code, i'm stuck. Can someone help me ? It would be very nice and appreciated !

So you want to display the category title and description of the currently displayed Flexicontent item*, in a module position, right???

(a Flexicontent item is a Joomla article extended with Flexicontent fields).

(i just thought that it may be easier to call this field directly in the template...but anyway...)

The new v1.5.6 beta1 (soon to be released) has this ability in the Flexicontent module.
