Issues with file field (UX problem, the Uploader is not auto-shown, when a new value box is added)

I have an issue already signaled with file field, but the fix doesn't work for me.



If there is already a file in the group it is not possible to add a new one.
Following another thread recommendation I've installed github.com/FLEXIcontent/flexicontent-cck/archive/3.3.n.zip
But it didn't fix the issue ( which seems normal because it is actually the same 3.3.8 version)
So would like to know if i've missed something.

hello in group mode field can't be multiple value only one if you want many file in group you need to to create one field per value (it the limitation)

Thankfully, I misexplained my problem (I almost had a cardiac arrest reading your answer ! ).

It's not in group mode. It's the basic file field with multiple values.



But If there were already (a) file(s) in the field before the update it is not possible to add a new one.

Do you get any JS error when you click the add-arrow ?


Also after you clicked to add a extra file value "box"
did you try click the add button to show the uploader (since as i see it is not auto-shown) ?

I tested in front, same behaviour. In addition in front the icons don't appear.




Actually my issue is that i don't have the add button nor the add box for fields already populated.

If i add a file and save (So yes the button works when it appears) , then the add button and drop box disappear.
If the field is already populated, they don't show at all.
