HI,

Now that the file name caps problem has been corrected, I mention that the png pictures are not transparent anymore as they should be.

Look at the middle one with white borders

Hello

the thumbnails created should be transparent,

there maybe a problem if we try to re-thumbnail via
- blog category template
- universal module
- item form displayed thumb

So e.g. your case is custom thumbnail resizing via a blog template copy ???

Try to set default to png
Code:
$PHPTHUMB_CONFIG['output_format'] = 'png';

Edit:
components/com_flexicontent/librairies/phpthumb/phpThumb.config.php

and add
Code:
// * Default output configuration: $PHPTHUMB_CONFIG['output_format'] = 'png'; // default output format ('jpeg', 'png' or 'gif') - thumbnail will be output in this format (if available in your version of GD or ImageMagick). This is only used if the "f" parameter is not specified, and if the thumbnail can't be output in the input format.

Does it make a difference ?

Yes of course.

First of all I delete the thumbnails in images/stories/flexicontent/

Then

I tried without changing the item with no luck

re deleted the thumbs

then I deleted the image, saved the item then re-imported the image and saved the item with no luck again.

Hello

i wrong wrote "add" , i should have said find the line and "change"

$PHPTHUMB_CONFIG = 'jpg';
to
$PHPTHUMB_CONFIG = 'png';

the above is for custom re-thumbnailing in e.g. blog and universal module

if you use image field it should not make difference since the thumbnail is always the same image type as the original image

if you still have issue, please send me a PM with super-admin access. to review this
