[SOLVED] Issue in canonical link

I have my webmaster account reporting errors in canonical links coming from a Flexicontent category view.
You can see one of those errors in this web category page: Looking at the generated canonical, you can find this wrong link: Is this a Flexicontent or a Joomla issue? Is there a way to fix it?

there maybe an issue with J3.5.x

please test with v3.0.14-rc3 (needs J3.5.0 + but have this already)

also backup just in case, but there should not be any problem with the upgrade

Made the suggested upgrade, but the issue is still there (
I have noted that it appears on the only one menu item having a link to Flexicontent "Categories", that is set to show 2 of the 8 categories in the site. All other menu link are set to "Category" and each one points to a single category, not showing the issue.
It should be fixed in someway.

UPDATE: it also appears in paginated url pertaining to the same link:
No other links seem to be affected

ok i have found and fixed the issue

and actually more views are effected , that is
- the category views that use : &layout=* like &layout=mcats in your case

category view / item view / directory / legacy tags are not effected

Click "download ZIP" then install in a dev-site and confirm the fix:

Installed latest dev version on local site, now when going to edit a menu voice I get this: ..and I can't change the menu item to set it to "Categories" for reproducing the situation and check the fix
