Hi,
after installing flexicontent and playing with it a bit, when I open an article in the frontend, the entire background which is part of the general site templates disappears, and only the content of the article appears with a white background. the same happens with the stable version 2.2.0
how do I resolve this?
thanks,
Tom

Hello

your Joomla template includes CSS to style the com_content (Joomla articles component)

and not com_flexicontent component

some CSS (styling) maybe applied
-- e.g. pagination CSS should be applied

and some other CSS (styling) will not, e.g. the background behind the articles ?

Please note:

1. many Joomla templates -override- the Joomla ARTICLE view template, to also apply different HTML

-- for this case, we can not do much

2. in any case the components are different so Joomla CSS will always apply differently more or less

Regards

but for some time it was looking fine, and then suddenly the background disappeared. is there anything I can check/modify, or you are saying that the extension cannot work with some joomla templates?

Hello,

you mean that while using FLEXIcontent you had the background, and then you did not ?

did it happen when you upgraded FLEXIcontent or when you changed FLEXIContent template ?

yes, that's what I mean.
It happened twice. first time I am not sure what did I do that made the background go away. then I restored the website from a backup and installed the stable version 2.2.0 and took it step by step. I noticed that the backup disappeared right after I played with the access levels of the items and the description field.

does this give you any idea what has gone wrong?

Hello

so background is applied to the description field only, and if the description field is not the (no access) you do not get the background ?

please note:

1. that CSS/styling of Joomla template is beyond our support scope,

2. but we would like to have same CSS classes (if possible) as Joomla article / category view to get some of the Joomla template CSS to be applied inside FLEXIcontent component area, this is for future version (* SO this is the reason i continue to discuss this topic otherwise you should)

3. also you need to understand that it is possible to answer such CSS question, ONLY IF
-- we have 2 live URL liks: 1 page with background and 1 page without background, at the same time
