Unable to add new item in frontend form

Hi,

I'm just getting to know Flexicontent now and I bumped into a very frustrating problem. When I try to add some sample content on a frontend form, the Add, Add & Return, Add & Preview buttons are not working. They simply don't do anything as if I left a required field empty. But everything is filled out.

So far, I've already checked the permissions, tried to uninstall and reinstall Flexicontent, installed jQuery Easy, cleared the cache in the browser, tried different browsers...nothing helped.

Do you have any ideas what could cause this?

Thanks in advance!

you have conflict with your front-end template
1 try with beez for sure
2 debug with firebug and your template

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Hello

please always mention FLEXIcontent and Joomla version

-- the submit uses JavaScript to validate
if for any reason the JS breaks , e.g. due to any JS script loaded in your page then the form will not submit and the FLEXIcontent frontend validation works in all released versions (tested), so surely a 3rd party JS script or jQuery load issue is causing this

-- please note that it is impossible to answer you, unless

a. you give us the JS error that is happening (you can do this by open the JS console (click F11 and the select console))

b. or we view the page for ourselves,

First of all, I really appreciate your efforts to help me. I'm using FLEXIcontent version 2.1.3 r1857 on Joomla! 2.5.11.

You pointed me in the right direction, it was a JS script or jQuery conflict (I don't know which one). At last, I found what the problem was: I'm using the Jgive crowd funding plugin on my site and the sample campaigns that were listed next to the Flexicontent form caused the conflict. I disabled the Jgive content for this menu item and the Add buttons are working now.

Thanks for your help!

Joomla 2.5.11? Do you know that you are very lucky that nobody hacked your page?
