Hi there,

I have created a couple of fields like product images, file upload and assign it in the template.

When I save the article the order is done via flexi template.

I would like to change the the field orders in the article add/edit view.

I have fields like.
Subheading
pdfupload
productimage
productgallery

When I see this in the article add/edit view, The order of these fields are mixed up so it gets confusing for the client to add the content (they are mixed up because of the order that I have added them. I should first added subheading then pdf followed by product image and the gallery).

I want to change the order of these for the article add/edit view so that it matches the actual template view.

Thank you. :)

Hello

1. go to fields manager then click to filter by Content Type

-- EACH content type has a different ordering !

2. click to sort by the "ordering" column

3. reorder the fields and then click to save icon at the top of the ordering column

-- Flexicontent is Free but involves a big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite having a long list of functions) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Hello,
I have the same problem as GKHN.

I have two textarea fields (the first, ID 22 and order position 22, the second ID 23 and order position 23). I want them to go one after the other in the backend element editing page, but after I had done some tries with the templates, the order got messed up and now I have ID 23 at the end of the fields in the editing page even if the order in the Fields page seems right (see attachments).

I've tried with the posted solution, but I cannot make it work.

Could you please help me out?
Thanks!

Hi
I have similar problem.
Reordering doesnt work. I reordered fields and saved them but only same kind of fields have changed. backend ordering seems ok but frontend form order doesnt work.

for example
i have created groupmarker and add some already created fields in groups, even ordering position seems ok and saved, on frontend form doesnt look like what i ordered.

if only all are same field types, than i can order them. otherwise nothing change.

ex:
text area 1
text area 2
text area 3
text area 4
yes i can reorder them

but
text area 1
text area 2
text 1
text 2

i cant reorder them like this:

text area 1
text 1
text area 2
text 2

sorry for Enlish...

thanks

Go to fields
Select(filter by) the item type
Then display ALL(NOT JUST 20)
Drag and drop the fields.(Green up and down point at the corner arrows on the fields)
You will then need to save this order where it say

Label Name Field type Description Content Lists Search View Types assigned Access Published Global Order
No type selected ID

.
You will see the save button.
Hit the save button and you are done.

There may be a bug but at the end you will save it.

I tried this method of saving the order of fields.
Could not manage it the first time when I hit save. I tried it again and it worked.
